I am filled with joy at what an AWESOME God we serve!!!!
Back in August 2009, I felt the Lord nudging me to pray over our city, beginning with each neighborhood, having 1 or 2 people in every neighborhood to pray for each family and thereby covering all of Roswell, one neighborhood at a time. I also envisioned a website with the song “City on our Knees” streaming. I knew I couldn’t do it on my own, so I just waited on the Lord. I knew He was up to something, I just didn’t know how involved I would be.
In January 2010, our pastor, Jason Barber, at Northside Church, gave out his tithing money for all of us to use to God’s glory that week. My family decided that we would invest in Prayer Over Roswell bracelets to pass out at my sons’ middle school and elementary and also at Church. Our sons made a facebook group called Prayer Over Roswell and invited their friends to join and agree to pray over the families in their neighborhood. We started on March 17th and decided to end on April 17th which happened to be the Roswell Day of Hope!!
When I stumbled upon this website, I saw that my vision was indeed a reality and many, many people were involved in making this happen, even the song was on the video! We then realized that God had simply been calling us to gather the troops to pray for this event and the salvation of souls and for God to work His miracles in the lives of all of these people!!
We can barely wait for NEXT YEAR!!!
